Eligibility: Clerics with pre-approved authority letter from the Comptroller General of Immigration.

Requirements

• Visa Authority Letter (pre-approved).
• Valid Passport (not less than 6 months validity).
• Return/Onward Ticket.
• Invitation/Contract from religious institution in Nigeria.

Steps to Obtain

1. Religious Institution applies for R6A pre-approval letter from the Immigration Service.
2. Receive Authority Letter and forwarded to the Nigerian Embassy.
3. Apply online (embassy).
4. Submit visa requirements and pay visa fees.
5. Obtain Visa.

Validity: 90 days from issuance.
Extendable: Not applicable.
Stay duration: work permit 2 years multiple entry.
Restrictions: No formal employment beyond cleric activities.
Family/Group Applications: Family/Dependants: Apply for R6B R6C R6D and R6E subcategories for spouse, minors, adult children, and aged parent’s visas respectively.
